Or at least they will be soon! If you read this blog then you know about my reinvented love of [vegan] baking and if you are lucky enough you've tasted said treats in real life, so you know what's up. I've found that people are really intrigued by the concept of vegan baking, so I wanted a way to demystify the process and make it fun and sexy while sharing my newfound favorite recipes. For the past couple months I've been developing the idea for an online baking show with my roommate Joe and other friends who are willing to lend hands, skills, and equipment. With a shit-out-of-luck-and-jobs economy becoming the next YouTube sensation might eventually be more worthwhile than trying to find a "real" job.
So be on the look out for Lisa's Delicious Treats, currently in pre-production, soon to be titillating your tastebuds! You'll have to wait for the food porn, but here's a sneak peak at the fashions. I fell in love with these retro pinup girl aprons from Carolyn's Kitchen (left, Sweetheart Hot Pink Apron $42), and ordered up one for the show! Carolyn West, who created these "Susy Homefaker" designs is so sweet and I loved the story behind them and always want to share any interesting indie designers I come across. Even if their fashions are meant to be worn in the kitchen! Also hot for our Peta peops out there, check out Carolyn's faux fur kitchen gloves - UM, ADORABLE!! Here's hoping she has some similarly sexy oven mitts coming out in the future...
Oh, and sorry for the blog hiatus, but I had some holiday/birthday/job stuff/boring things/etc to tend to. From here on out it is SO ON.
